That moment when your Mini's engine light comes on during rush hour

So there I was, stuck in traffic on Sheikh Zayed Road last Thursday, already running late for a meeting, when suddenly that dreaded yellow engine light pops up on my dashboard. My heart literally sank because I've had this car long enough to know that light could mean anything from a minor sensor glitch to something that's going to cost me a small fortune. I spent the next two days driving around in pure anxiety mode, constantly checking the temperature gauge and listening for any weird sounds, you know how it is when you're just waiting for something to go wrong. I called up a few places and honestly, the way some of them talked to me on the phone made me feel like I was already being ripped off before they'd even seen the car. One workshop quoted me a crazy price just for plugging in the diagnostic computer, which seemed ridiculous. After asking around in a local WhatsApp group I'm in, a couple of the guys mentioned they'd had good experiences with a place that actually uses the proper BMW diagnostic tools instead of generic scanners that don't read Mini codes properly. That's exactly what I need right now, someone who can properly figure out what's going on without playing guessing games with my wallet. I'm really hoping to find Certified MINI Cooper diagnostics and repair in Abu Dhabi because I just want peace of mind that my car is in good hands and I'm not going to get hit with surprise costs down the line. Has anyone else had that engine light scare recently and found a place that actually sorted it out properly?
